We are delighted that you want to become a Peppo Tutor. There are only four simple steps you need to take:
Step 1: Register – Please complete the form below providing basic information about yourself, your qualifications and experience. No previous tutoring or teaching experience is required, but if you have experience with children or young people please mention it. Our academic standards are high and we expect an A/7 at GCSE in the subject you would like to teach and a real passion for the subject. Please note that we are not able to take students on a Tier 4 or Tier 2 UK Visa as they are unable to register with HMRC as self-employed.
Step 2: Interview – After your application has been reviewed you will be sent an email inviting you to attend an interview. The interview will be on-line and will last about 30 minutes. The interview will include an opportunity for you to present a 10 minute lesson in a subject of your choice.
Step 3: References and DBS check – We take safeguarding very seriously and need to receive a reference before you can start tutoring. You will also need to provide either (i) an up-to-date DBS certificate; or (ii) 2 forms of identification (e.g. passport and driver’s licence) as well as a proof of address (e.g. bank statement) issued in the last 3 months so that we can apply for your DBS certificate. We will pay for the DBS certificate but will deduct £5 from your payment for the first 10 lessons to cover the costs.
Step 4: Receive your login – Once you are accepted and have your DBS you will be ready to take the on-line training and start your Peppo Tutoring experience.
